Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Gamers can look forward to even more bang for their buck this September, as Microsoft SA has announced that Twisted Pixel's upcoming Kinect-powered cowboy marionette shooter, The Gunstringer, will be bundled with a download code for the Summer of Arcade title, Fruit Ninja Kinect, when it releases in stores on 16 September in South Africa for R399.

As a further bonus, the bundle includes a free DLC add-on for the The Gunstringer called "The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles", which pits players against the time-travelling son of the first boss in the game, the Wavy Tube Man.

In this add-on, Wavy Tube Man Jr. steals a time machine to prevent his father's death at the hands of "The Gunstringer," and it's up to players to battle classic western cowboys and futuristic warriors to save the world from destruction.

Sounds like a sweet deal, but then again, The Gunstringer was originally set to release as a XBLA game, so Microsoft need to justify the R200 difference in some form or another. Regardless of the pricing though, The Gunstringer looks like a whole bunch of fun.
