THQ has officially announced the game-of-the-sequel-of-the-original-box-office-smash, Kung Fu Panda 2, for the Xbox 360.

The game will include Kinect support, apparently allowing players to "seemingly transform into Po as they block, dodge, duck, punch and kick" their way to restoring the balance of power and save kung fu forever. The press release also promises new "never-before-seen" enemy units exclusive to the game.

"Kung Fu Panda 2 brings enormous innovation and creativity to build on the excitement of the movie," says Mary Beth Haggerty, THQ’s Vice President of Product Development, Kids, Family and Casual Games.  "The team brought unique elements to each platform so players can have a different experience with the same great story."

Kung Fu Panda 2 the video game will be out alongside the movie in the US at the end of May, with a local release date still to be confirmed.
