Electronic Arts are hoping to spoil Test Drive Unlimited 2's fun in the sun by attracting gamers back to the critically accaimed racer Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, with three new DLC packs bringing new cars, modes, events and Achievements to Xbox LIVE over the next three weeks.

Armed and Dangerous (22 February - 560 MS Points)

First up is the Armed and Dangerous DLC, which adds two new game modes: Most Wanted, a mode which sees cops target a specific racer while other racers battle to protect them; and Arms Race, which is basically racer deathmatch, with every racer fending for themselves while trying to take the checkered flag. It's also packing the obligatory new Achievements - three of them to be exact.

Lamborghini Untamed (1 March - 560 MS Points)

New vehicles over here, three "legendary" Lamborghinis to be exact, with the Lamborghini Diablo SV, Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, playable as both cops and racers. In addition, there will be 10 new events, along with four new Achievements for players to unlock.

Porsche Unleashed (8 March - 560 MS Points)

Finally we have the Porsche Unleashed DLC pack, which, would you believe it, includes new Porsche models, specifically: Porsche 911 Turbo (1982 Edition), Porsche 959 and 911 Speedster. Again, it also includes 10 new events, aong with four new Achievements.

To get you in the mood, EA has released a new trailer and solitary screenshot.

So back to Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit next week, or did you never leave it in the first place?
