After the initial announcement that Tiberium was delayed to late 2009, EA has come out to say the game is now officially cancelled. Sighting problems with design, EA felt the game wasn't meeting the standards of quality set out and therefore, felt it was time to call it a day.
This will cost EA a pretty penny considering Tiberium has been in production for nearly 2 years. This has resulted in a number of staff being let go, and the remaining will be put onto other projects. Although a set back for EA, it does show EA is putting its right foot forward by trying to release quality games.
