So Alien Breed: Evolution is a sort of franchise reboot of the old Alien Breed classic from the Amiga Commodore days of 1991. Here's the shocking twist, though - 18 years later, the game's been resurrected by the original developer. Dun dun dun! I know, I had no idea Team 17 had been around forever either, or that they actually ever made anything besides all those Worms games.
Anyway, Alien Breed: Evolution is an isometric sci-fi shooter, that pits you (and, optionally, one buddy) against loads of nasties on some trashed space ship in the middle of nowhere. If it sounds like Aliens, it's because it sounds like Aliens. Which also obviously means it sounds totally awesome.
If you're looking to burn 800 MSP and 425 MB of bandwidth, your quest is over! Lock and load.
Elsewhere, Puzzlegeddon mashes up puzzling, action, strategy, and little spaceships in a game that is allegedly "fast-paced and addictive". That might be the most bland bit of corporate copy-pasting ever too.
It's 800 MSP, 150 MB, and waiting over here.
