Team Rainbow, assemble! Your mission - stop a terrorist cell called "True Patriots." These individuals are highly trained, well-organized, and most importantly, willing to do whatever it takes to reach their goals.
Yes, the tactical first-person shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six is back, this time with a new threat to the American way of life. Dubbed Rainbow 6 Patriots, and under development at Ubisoft Montreal (with the support of Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm), the latest entry promises a "dynamic" single-player storyline which will pose "tough ethical decisions" and capture the reality of modern-day terrorism as it plays out through multiple characters' perspectives. This will also include new co-op and multiplayer experiences which will reward players for working together as a team and making split-second decisions when it counts.
"Terrorism has evolved, and so has Rainbow 6. In Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots, all the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction," said David Sears, creative director at Ubisoft. "This adds an unprecedented level of humanity that will make Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots an extremely tense and immersive experience."
Fans of the franchise will have a long wait ahead of them, however, as Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots is only scheduled to infiltrate stores sometime in 2013.
