The Autobots and Decepticons are set to clash once again, as Activision has announced Transformers: Fall of Cybertron for a 2012 release.
In development over at High Moon Studios - the same developer behind last year's well received War for Cybertron - Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will focus on the final hours of the civil war between the two factions which ultimately lead to the downfall of their home planet.
"High Moon Studios is an extremely talented development team having raised the bar of gameplay and Transformers authenticity in their games," said David Oxford, Executive Vice President at Activision Publishing. "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is an extraordinary project both for the studio and the Transformers gaming legacy — the stakes are higher and the scale much larger than ever before, and we absolutely cannot wait for fans to see all the new characters and epic action that awaits them."
More details are expected to arrive in the November issue of GameInformer, who revealed the two covers for the issue, including one containing a robotic T-rex! Check it out in the gallery below:
