Ubisoft has announced that Child of Eden, the next trip into the wonderfully weird mind of Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi, is under development over at Q Entertainment, and will include Kinect and normal controller support when launched.

Child of Eden thrusts the player into the center of a battle to save Project Lumi, a mission to reproduce a human personality inside Eden, the archive of all human memories. As the project nears completion, the archive is invaded by an unknown virus. The player’s mission is to save Eden from the virus, restoring hope and peace.

Ubisoft describes Child of Eden as a "multi-sensory shooter that will send players diving into a kaleidoscopic matrix of synchronized music and mind-blowing visuals", and from the look of the reveal trailer below, it's going to be as loony and stunning as one would expect from Mizuguchi's reputation for wildly imaginative design.

We're still awaiting on a release date, and whether this title will be a retail or downloadable release, so for now, let the reveal trailer suck you in and blow your mind. Oh, and there's also a few screenshots to gawp at too.
