Real-time strategy fans are in for something different as Ubisoft has just launched an all new intellectual property and they’re calling it R.U.S.E. You can always count on Ubisoft for acronymic game titles. R.U.S.E., being developed by Eugen Systems, will be arriving sometime within Ubisoft’s 2010 fiscal year (which ends March 2010) and will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Much like the actual word, R.U.S.E. focuses on perception and deception. Players will get the chance to outsmart their opponents through bluffing and manipulation while using the game's proprietary, IRISZOOM Engine, to easily zoom in and out on the battlefield.
“With R.U.S.E., Ubisoft is once again shaking up a genre, offering an RTS with a twist that will thrill gamers,” said John Parkes, EMEA marketing director at Ubisoft. “Ubisoft is known for innovation and R.U.S.E. continues that tradition, offering the most immense and detailed maps ever seen in an RTS. Players can explore the maps using IRISZOOM Engine, which provides an aerial, smooth interaction unlike anything ever seen before.
