For a long time Halo 3 Recon Armour has been a sort after item for many Halo 3 fans. In the past Bungie only handed it out to a select few, but with the release of Halo 3: ODST next year, it will become an unlockable item to all. To attain the elusive armour you must complete all the "Vidmaster" achievements. The first two can be done with Halo 3, and the third with the Mythic Map Pack which is expected sometime in February, or early March. But you won't be able to wear the armour until you purchase Halo 3: ODST in 2009.

This removes the appeal to be honest, and those who have done something special to receive it in the first place will feel a bit cheated. I Can Has Recon? Yup, you and everyone else. But only if you buy Halo 3: ODST!
