Update on Xbox LIVE SA Marketplace and free MS Points promotion

Since Xbox LIVE launched in South Africa last week, one of the biggest complaints from new and migrating users is that the local Xbox LIVE Marketplace is a windswept ghost town. According to a post on the Xbox 360 South Africa Facebook page, differences between European / American ratings systems and our local FPB classification board are responsible for the delay. We're assured, however, that the process of changing these over and adding content to the Marketplace is very much underway.

We are in the process of doing it – but it will take some time to get them all done. Keep checking back marketplace as more games become available.

Furthermore, the MS Points promotional giveaway of 800 / 1600 MSP to migrating users will apparently take up to four weeks to process. So if you're waiting for your free MSP, keep waiting.
