Valve fixing Left 4 Dead 2 server lag

Valve has announced that the server lag experienced in their zombie shredder, Left 4 Dead 2, should be a thing of the past thanks to recent network changes.

We have upgraded our network infrastructure to better accommodate the huge response to L4D2. 360 players will now have lag-free servers. We've also added more dedicated servers.

It doesn't look like locals will see much of a difference though, as most will be utilising the new local server mode to bypass the dedicated servers anyways. On the plus side, Versus mode requires games to be hosted via the dedicated servers, so perhaps we'll see some improvements there.
