Batman: Arkham Asylum's sequel - revealed last year with a teaser trailer - has been officially announced as Batman: Arkham City.

The game is in development over at original Batman: AA developers Rocksteady Studios, and sends players "soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security 'home' for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds." It's also set to debut new villains, with the latest GameInformer cover art (below) revealing Catwoman and Two-Face.

Batman: Arkham City is scheduled to launch "Autumn 2011", so spring 2011 over here.
