Most RPG fans should be out of their Skyrim shaped cocoons by now, like quest fuelled bears fresh from hibernation foraging for their next fantasy world to conquer, so it's perfect timing then that CD Projekt RED, developers behind the critically acclaimed action RPG The Witcher 2, has announced a worldwide release date of 17 April 2012 for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
"The Xbox 360 version is a complete adaptation of the game to the new platform, we’ve rewritten the code so it feels native to the console. This latest version of The Witcher 2 has been expanded in many ways, and some experts believe it to be one of the best-looking games ever to make it to consoles," said Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED studio.
Along with the release date, CD Projekt revealed two editions for the Xbox 360 - the Enhanced and Dark Editions - both including brand new CGI intro sequences, new cut-scenes to bring players up to speed story wise, additional gameplay previously not included in the PC version, and more than 100 technical improvements, to name a few.
