A keynote speach isn't complete without divulging some big and impressive numbers, and Microsoft weren't short on those at CES 2010. According to their latest figures, the Xbox 360 has surpassed 39 million consoles worldwide, with over 500 million Xbox games sold, which equates to an average attach rate of 13 games per console. In money terms, it's an astounding $20 billion dollars in sales. Recession? What recession?
Xbox LIVE has also been doing some good business over the holiday season, with the period between Christmas and New Years being the busiest week ever. How busy? A new member every second, leading up to a new record of 2.2 million concurrent members online.
Impressive figures? I'd say so.
