Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Hungry for looooooove? Can't help you there, but if you're hungry for games, I've got good news for your rumbly, grumbly tummybox. From 29 September through 20 October, Xbox LIVE is hosting a new Arcade promotion, entitled The Game Feast, which is apparently a sort of delectable smörgåsbord of independent XBLA titles. Featured games include:

Hydrophobia (29 September, 1200 MSP)

Powered by the revolutionary HydroEngine, the world's first true fluid dynamics engine for games, Hydrophobia is an experience unlike anything you have played before. This jaw-dropping technology models flowing water which behaves completely realistically, resulting in the most dynamic and dramatic gameplay you've ever seen.

Comic Jumper (6 October, 1200 MSP)

Threatened with becoming just another failed superhero, Captain Smiley is rescued by the fine folks at Twisted Pixel who provide him with a base of operations and Comic Jumping technology allowing him — and his back-talking "chestkick" named Star — to leap into other comic books and save misguided plotlines, so that they may earn enough cash to catapult their superhero careers back into the limelight. From the creators of the award-winning titles Splosion Man and The Maw, Comic Jumper is the team's most ambitious game yet.

Pinball FX 2 (13 October, Tables purchased individually; free import from original)

Pinball FX 2 takes the pinball genre to another level with the most advanced ball physics and social features to date, along with a new collection of beautifully designed tables. Best of all, Pinball FX 2 is a free update for existing Pinball FX owners, while new users can download and try every pinball table for free.

Super Meat Boy (20 October, price TBA)

Super Meat Boy is a tough-as-nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus wearing a tux who lives in a jar.
