Xbox LIVE members have successfully set a new Guinness World Record by competing in the largest simultaneous online 100m sprint in the Xbox Nations event which took place last weekend.

The event saw free Xbox LIVE Gold access for all, as well as a bunch of discounts, helping to attract 10,539 participants in Kinect Sports for the record breaking event.

"Breaking a Guinness World Record is such a massive milestone and we’re pleased that we had the chance to do this in partnership with the Xbox LIVE community, following our record breaking launch of Kinect, which was named the Fastest Selling Consumer Electronics Device by Guinness as well," said Stephen McGill, Director of Xbox and Entertainment for Microsoft’s Retail Sales and Marketing Division in the UK & Ireland.

Congrats to all those who took part!
