Xbox Gaming in South Africa

The official release date for Xbox LIVE in South Africa will be announced tomorrow, according to a Microsoft SA representative.

First confirmed at E3 earlier this year, Xbox LIVE is expected to officially launch sometime next month in South Africa (as well as eight other non-LIVE countries), with the focus on delivering the "core gaming and community features" of Xbox LIVE, such as matchmaking, friends list, Achievements, Gamerscore, a tailored Games Marketplace and more, to local Xbox 360 gamers.

Hopefully we'll also hear more details on the much needed account migration for current Xbox LIVE members, as well as pricing.
