Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Looking to get your footy on? You don't even have to leave your couch or anything, because Microsoft is all about the "Summer of Football". Which is actually our "Winter of Football".

Welcome to the Xbox LIVE Summer of Football. From 11 June till 11 July we'll be celebrating everything to do with football - both on and off the pitch. All brought right to you through your Xbox console.

If you’re like us you’ll be glued to your set seeing who the winners and losers are in South Africa. The football doesn’t have to stop at the final whistle though; our reporters will keep you up to date with the latest news updates and gossip from the tournament - check out Xbox LIVE to see who's saying.

When there's no action on the pitch, make the most of Multiplayer gaming and play for yourself by trying the new FIFA 2010 demo. There will also be new offers and previews being posted throughout the month, so make sure you check out Xbox LIVE to see what's new.

It's sort of ironic, of course, that Xbox LIVE is apparently all about what's going on in South Africa - where we still don't actually have Xbox LIVE support. Perhaps we should arrange some banners at the final?

There will also be a free Xbox LIVE weekend for all Silver members from 11 - 13 June.
