Last week saw the release of Alan Wake, one of the most eagerly anticipated Xbox 360 titles this year, as well as the unveiling of the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, but not even these two heavyweights could knock the mighty Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 off the top of the chart.
You'll see that we have put Halo 3: ODST up alongside the Reach beta, this is because the monkey that counts the game time for these charts remains intent on lumping these two together as one figure, but it's safe to assume that much of that number 3 position was earned by the awesome Reach beta.
Alan Wake made a solid debut at number 4, and is so far impressing gamers with its engrossing story and entertaining gameplay (watch out for XG's review later this week). EA Sports also made an impact this week with the 2010 FIFA World Cup SA title landing the number 7 spot and pushing FIFA 10 out of the chart. Newly released Super Street Fighter IV replaces Street Fighter IV at number 9, and the always popular Call of Duty 4 manages a top 10 spot. Other games not making the cut this week were Borderlands and Halo 3.
