Could the Xbox 360 soon get YouTube functionality? According to a new job listing over on Google, it may be in the works.

YouTube is currently looking for a "Game Console Software Engineer" to help their engineering team "build the next generation game-console-based TV experience with You Tube video content", with applicants requiring a "deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3 and/or Nintendo Wii".

Other platforms such as Sony's Playstation 3 and Nintendo's Wii already have basic YouTube functionality, but the Xbox 360 has been lacking in this regard, in both applications and in-game integration. Hopefully this new job listing means improved (and first time) applications are in the works for all major console platforms.
