And it's about time. Microsoft has announced that the world's largest video-sharing serivce, YouTube, will be available through Xbox LIVE later this year.

YouTube on Xbox LIVE will deliver access to great Web original content from around the world, including the latest videos, gaming tips and more.

A Microsoft SA representitive has confirmed that the service will be available in South Africa, which according to a press release, requires an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.

YouTube on Xbox LIVE is set to launch this "Fall" or "spring" in South Africa land.
