Today on XBLA: KrissX

This looks suspiciously like edutainment pretending to be cool, but anyway. KrissX is some sort of word puzzle game, maybe something like Bookworm Adventures, although the description doesn't really... describe much ...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 Review

You've got to feel for Konami when a few years ago they managed to get gamers to fall in love with their football game, Pro Evolution Soccer, on the PS2, only for the new generation of consoles to appear and cause them to helplessly flounder before falling from grace at the hands of a rejuvenated FIFA franchise. It's been a long, hard road for Seabass and his team at Konami and it's certainly been humbling for them as they've come to realise that they can't just bank on a cadre of hardcore fans to keep their game on the charts. E3 2009: New action RPGs from Konami and THQ

Originally announced last year at the annual Games Convention in Leipzig, it seems Lords of Shadow has been snapped up by Konami and reinvented as a Castlevania title. Since the game debuted with a protagonist named Gabriel who was armed with some kind of half-sword half-whip thing, I don't imagine there was all that much reinvention needed - just a few more lacy frills on his jacket, maybe. Can't have too many lacy frills in Castlevania. According to the press release ...

New Metal Gear Solid announced for Xbox 360

Not entirely unexpected, perhaps, but Hideo Kojima totally did actually turn up at Microsoft's conference and show off his new game, Metal Gear Solid Rising. He didn't really say much except that Rising is a "completely new Metal Gear game and you can look forward to many more". No Solid Snake in sight, however, as this one's all about Raiden. Apparently a poll of Xbox users confirmed that we don't like  old guys with moustaches and headbands in our games*. Whether or not this is an Xbox 360 exclusive remains a mystery, however ...
