Xbox LIVE SA Ultimate Gamer

Are you the ultimate Xbox 360 gamer in South Africa? Well it's time for you to prove it in the Xbox LIVE SA Ultimate Gamer tournament.

Overview

Participants will be required to perform at their best over three distinct titles, including retail and Xbox LIVE Arcade games, in an attempt to be crowned the Xbox LIVE SA Ultimate Gamer tournament winner, and walk away with a rare 250GB Xbox 360 S console.

The tournament isn't just for serious gamers though, and is open to all South African Xbox LIVE gamers, making it an ideal way to meet more local gamers and just have some fun!

Schedule

Registration: Monday, 8 November - Monday, 15 November 7PM
Round 1:
- Tuesday, 16 November 8PM - 10PM
- Thursday, 18 November 8PM - 10PM
Semi-Final: Sunday, 21 November 8PM - 10PM
Final:
- Tuesday, 23 November 8PM - 10PM
- Thursday, 25 November 8PM - 10PM

All times are GMT 2+, or South African local time

Titles

Round 1, as well as the semi-finals, will be played on Halo: Reach over Xbox LIVE. Games will consist of 6-player slayer with pre-configured map variants.
The finals will be played across two Xbox LIVE Arcade games over Xbox LIVE. Games to be announced after semi-finals. Finalists will be supplied with XBLA titles if required.

Prizes

The winner of the tournament will receive a one of a kind 250GB Xbox 360 S console branded with the South African national colours.

Requirements / Rules:

South African residents only
Registration must be completed fully before the closing date to be valid
Participants must be at least 16 years of age or older
An active broadband internet connection capable of at least 384kbps downstream is required
Participants must have a valid Xbox LIVE Gold membership for the entirety of the tournament
It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyways, you must have an Xbox 360 and a copy of Halo: Reach
Finally, participants must be available for the times outlined in the schedule
