Microsoft unveils Halo 3: ODST live-action short

Halo 3: ODST Live Action

In preparation for the release of Halo 3: ODST, Microsoft and Bungie have put together a live-action short, depicting the harrowing experience of being a Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.

Shot on location in Budapest, Hungary, the short was directed by MJZ's Rupert Sanders who was also in the directors chair for the Halo 3 "Believe" ad.

I am traditionally sceptical of this sort of thing, but this live-action short is better than I could have imagined. If anything, it makes you realise just how cool a full-blown Halo movie could be.

Brilliantly done and as a guy it hits all the right notes with me as its filled to the brim with action and manly action in a style reminiscent of Full Metal Jacket. Can't wait to drop later this month. Long live Halo! :)
